Little Star launch
30th January 2017Hello and welcome to Little Star Jewellery. In reality we have come a long way in a short space of time from concept to launch, but to me this is something that I feel has been in the back of my mind for a long time. Having spent many years designing well known, successful collections and brands for both adults and children I still felt that there was an unfulfilled part of me that wanted to be in charge of every element of my own brand. Finally deciding to take the plunge was in fact the easy part, the hard part was then how to narrow down all of the thoughts and ideas I’d been building up over the years to get things started. I’ve always enjoyed designing ranges whether that be ladies, men’s or children’s but I particularly liked the idea of starting with a children’s range. Divine intervention came my way via a clear starry sky as I holidayed in Greece, the idea of Little Star and Cosmo the Rabbit were born and the subsequent six months have flown by.
It was only once I had got deep into designing the brand concept and then actual product itself that I decided it would be nice to have a range that not only covered a mix of children’s traditional giftwear and some more contemporary fashion pieces, but also introduce adult pieces to the range. With a dedicated ladies collection to celebrate the joy of Motherhood and a Mummy & Me range with pieces for parent and child to share we’re able to offer an ideal keepsake for any occasion, whether that be a Christening Bangle, a thank you to a little bridesmaid or matching pieces just to say I love you. There are so many things that provide a learning curve when starting your own brand and for me designing and manufacturing jewellery that looks great, is made to the highest quality and ethical standards was the easy part, learning about all the other elements such as the dreaded E Commerce have in fact been a pleasure and we’re delighted with the results – I hope everyone agrees and for that we can only thank everyone involved from our fantastic models and photographers giving us the amazing imagery through to our web development team who have in truth had some hand holding to do!
Our long term aim is to make Little Star an instantly recognisable, aspirational brand that people not only associate with nice jewellery at its core, but a celebration of togetherness, sentiment and family. It is obviously only the start of a long voyage, but I welcome everyone to join us and I’d encourage you to follow us on social media and website newsletters to make the journey with us.
I hope that everyone has someone or something to celebrate will join us to mark their special moment – Little Star ‘Made to Cherish’.
